Re: Water wipes

I recently took my son for food allergy tests, turns out he has a huge intolerance to dairy, especially goats milk which we had been giving him as we were told its better for eczema sufferers. He also has intolerance to wheat, oats, rice, grapes, oranges, and yeast, so we are two weeks into a new di...

Help with sleep!

After five months of constant sleepless nights we have found a pajamas that has really helped, so just thought I'd mention it here in case anyone is going through the same. They contain something called Silver Soothe, which helps calm any itch, and are made with organic cotton, they also have the ha...

Eczema and Crohns Disease

Just read online yesterday that there might be a link between eczema and Crohns Disease, I am just wondering if anyone here knows anything about this, or if anyone suffers from both. My son has terrible eczema and there is Crohns disease in his dad's family, as nothing we do seems to relieve him we ...

Re: How to cope!

Thanks everyone for your replies, I do find baths helpful, barely warm and with either seaweed powder or bicarbonate of soda, both which help calm the itch, however its during the night that our problems arise, and we often have seaweed baths at 4am in a desperate attempt to calm skin again. I've al...

Chlorine in Water

I read that chlorine in the water has serious effects on eczema, I'm wondering has anyone tried dechlorinating their water and if so noticed any differences? Alternatively has anyone tried this particular product

Staring

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced stares and judging looks from people when they go out with their children. My son who is two and a half has bad eczema on his arms, legs and face, and with the warm weather at the moment these are all on show. But I find that when we go out I get horribl...

Re: Help

My son is nearly two and a half and his itching gets so much worse at night, I find the only things that give him relief are a cool bath with some bicarbonate of soda (about two teaspoons) or seaweed powder, in it. It really cools the skin and reduces the itch, unfortunately it doesn't seem to last ...

Re: Wet Wrapping

Thanks for your replies everyone, we've been doing it for a week or so now with mixed results. The first few nights my son was kept very cool and slept very comfortably, however the last few nights the wraps seem to be drying out very quickly and he wakes in the middle of the night scratching franti...

Getting so frustrated with doctors who just keep giving me stronger steroid creams which work when i use them but when i give him a break from them his skin comes back just as bad.
