Re: Castor Oil Topically for Eczema
I recommend making a peppermint oil out of castor oil and peppermint leaves rather than buying a generic peppermint oil. In many cases it is a cheap generic oil infused with peppermint leaves.

Re: I am eczema free now
From what I read people with contact dermatitis heal/benefit the most from using castor oil. The skin barrier is made up of layers of dead skin cells bound together by a mixture of fatty acids, ceramides and cholesterol lipids that prevents loss of water from the deeper layers of the skin also to st...

Google pharmacies/stores in those countries. See if you can find an email address or interactive website where you can ask questions. I realize that there may be a language barrier. If so, try using an online translator.

Re: Natural treatment for eczema in Singapore
An active ingredient in Magic Baby Hydrating Blend is Jojoba Oil. I wouldn't be surprised if you could use just jojoba oil as it is much cheaper. Jojoba oil is high in ceramides. The skin barrier is made up of layers of dead skin cells bound together by a mixture of fatty acids, ceramides and choles...

Re: Heat to control the pain and itching of Atopic Dermatiti
I would be careful since hot water can dry out the skin. A heat method with oil absorption is Castor oil packs - grab a piece of cloth and soak it in the oil. Once soaked, apply the cloth to the affected area. Place a heating source (hot water bottle) on top of the cloth to allow the castor oil to r...

Re: itchy after applying cream/ointment
I like to recommend wet wraps because they're quicker and more convenient. Really the true way to moisture the skin is using the soak and smear method - warm tub body soak 15 min, pay dry then smear oil/ointment over the entire body (I use castor oil in the inflamed areas). I know that baths are mor...

Re: itchy after applying cream/ointment
I recommend wetting the area for 15 minutes b4 applying the oil. I use homemade wet wraps (old clothing & water). The moisture calms the skin. Castor oil works best for me. Coconut oil works on light itches but not on heavy rashes, broken skin and open sores. Castor Oil for Eczema in Comparison ...

Re: A few tips :)
Good list. Although for Number 3, I recommend castor oil rather than Vaseline. The skin barrier or acid mantle is made up of a layers of dead skin cells bound together by a mixture of fatty acids, ceramides and cholesterol lipids that prevents loss of water from the deeper layers of the skin also to...

Re: Castor Oil Topically for Eczema
Unfortunately the cooler autumn weather arrived a little early this year in my area. My skin felt it quicker than I could prepare for it. Wet wraps and castor oil have kept it from getting too inflamed. Luckily it is only on a small portion of my body. Since the air is drier in the cooler months, I ...

Re: I am eczema free now
Castor Oil for Eczema in Comparison to other oils and creams It is thicker than coconut oil and hemp oil. It has more types of fatty acids than coconut oil which repair the skin. It is a cost effective oil. It is much less expensive than almost every other oil used to heal eczema. The other oils are...
