Semen test, treatment and fertility issues

I have to give a sample of semen for testing.
How long should I wait after my last ejaculation before I take the sample?
If it turns out I have a problem, is there any treatment to help?

My partner has had a scan and she has small ovaries and most of the follicles are empty. She has an appointment on the 1st may to discuss options and referral to a specialist but has been told they would like to know my result.

My partner is nearly 41 and I am 47.
We have been told that our options are limited as I have 2 children from a previous marriage and she was pregnant once before, 10 years ago but lost the baby.
Is this true?

Has your GP advised you to do a semen sample, if so are they able to answer these questions for you? We are not able to give medical advice. Please keep us updated with how you get on.

Before you shell out lots of money at the doctors you might want to take an at home semen analysis to rule out any issues. The website health test express has great options you could try.
