Hi, it sounds like seborrhoeic dermatitis. Daktacort cream may be a good thing to try? Google the images of this and see if it seems the same as what you have? Or could you upload a photo here? Dr Webberley

Dear Philip,
Thank you for your question. This sounds very much like seborrhoeic dermatitis (yeast infection) although it is impossible to be sure without examining you in person. There are a number of available treatments but this condition often comes back and patients may need treatment time to time. Daktacort cream is quite good although I like nizoral cream or shampoo and/or selsun shampoo (these shampoos have to be applied for a few minutes before rinsing them off).
