Why are my cheeks always red?

Does anyone else experience this? My cheeks are red all the time, even if I'm relaxed. It sucks being a guy with rosy cheeks, because everyone thinks you're overheated or blushing. One of my friends said she thought I liked her when we first met because I was "always blushing" around her :( .
My doc said it's not rosacea?? My mom's side has some family members with red cheeks, but I don't want to have this my entire life. The comments like "you have such rosy cheeks" are so demasculating.

you might be managing an ailment, like a rash, dermatitis, psoriasis, or a sun related burn. An especially normal reason for ongoing red cheeks is rosacea.

Your red cheeks could be because of the blood vessels at the surface of your skin. Also, you say family members have the same: could it be genetic? I doubt there is much you can do. If you were female I'd suggest skin covering foundation but you're obviously not female, so I don't think that advice would work.

Your doctor won't be able to do much: I am afraid you're stuck with red cheeks.
