Diabetes UK
Diabetes UK is the leading UK charity that cares for, connects with and campaigns on behalf of all people affected by and at risk of diabetes. Our Strategic priorities are focused on improving the lives of people with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes by:
- Reducing the rate of increase of diabetes
- Ensuring the earliest possible diagnosis
- Halving the rate of complications
- Reducing premature deaths from diabetes
We help people manage their diabetes effectively by providing information, emotional and practical support through the Diabetes UK Careline 0845 120 2960 or careline@diabetes.org.uk. We campaign with people with diabetes and with health care professionals to improve the quality of care across the UK’s health services and campaign to stem the rising tide of diabetes. We fund pioneering research into care, cure and prevention for all types of diabetes.
We are a growing community of 300,000 supporters nationwide: people with diabetes, their friends, family and volunteers and healthcare professionals. Our members are at the heart of what we do to support each other and share our experiences.
