Accidental bowel leakage – adult
Renew Medical UK and talkhealth teamed up to offer patients the opportunity to ask leading clinical experts questions about Accidental Bowel Leakage (ABL) also commonly known as Faecal Incontinence.
ABL is very common, it is currently estimated that 1 in 10 people in the UK are living with some form of bowel incontinence. Despite its commonality, many people still struggle to talk about it and many are unaware of the solutions that are available. NICE (National Institute of Clinical Excellence) have published guidelines on the treatment pathway for faecal incontinence.
Leading experts Debbie Gordon, Sharon Holroyd and Polly Weston answered questions on issues related to accidental bowel leakage in adults. The clinic is now closed but you can view the questions and answers here.
