Expert Clinic on Erectile Dysfunction - The Urology Foundation
The Urology Foundation and talkhealth are teaming up to offer our community a chance to put their questions to a urology expert on the subject. We are being joined Mr Hussain Alnajjar who will be answering your questions on Thursday 10 November 2022 but the clinic will be open from Monday 7 November for you to post your questions in advance.
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is the persistent or recurrent inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient for sexual activity. It is sometimes known as 'impotence'.
It's a very common problem, particularly affecting men past the age of 40, and around 1 in 10 men overall.
Erectile dysfunction can be caused by many factors and may have a gradual or sudden onset.
Despite the impact, stress and worry caused by ED many men feel embarrassed to discuss the issue with their doctor, but it is important that you do as ED can also be a sign of other illnesses such as heart disease or diabetes.
