Ali Rooke
Ali has worked at Prostate Cancer UK as a Specialist Nurse since 2010. Ali’s role at the charity is to provide support and information to anyone concerned about, or affected by prostate disease, primarily via its specialist helpline and email service. Ali also helps raise awareness and understanding of prostate disease through talks, presentations and videos for both patients and their families, and for health professionals.
Ali has played a pivotal role in the development of the charity’s resources on the side effects of prostate disease including the impact it can have on sex and relationships. She is currently supporting research exploring the availability and requirements of Erectile Dysfunction services following prostate cancer treatment.
Her background is largely in urology and prostate cancer, although she is also endoscopy trained. Having qualified in 1996, Ali has spent many years working in Essex, Kent, West Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey and London.
