Mr Declan Cahill
Mr Declan Cahill is a Consultant Urologist at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Hospital Trust and London Bridge Hospital.
During basic general surgical training he was awarded the Hallett Prize, the Gold Medal for basic surgical sciences and during his urological training he was awarded the Keith Yates Medal for coming top in the United Kingdom and Ireland specialist examinations.
His specialist and academic interests include prostate cancer, laparoscopy (keyhole surgery for prostate and kidney problems) and general urology. He undertook a fellowship in Paris at Institute Montsouris where he learnt his complex laparoscopic skills to perform laparoscopic radical prostatectomy and nephrectomy. He also has experience in High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) using the Ablatherm system for certain patients with prostate cancer.
