Thank you for the reassurance. My TSH was over 10 so it's a relief to be pro-actively sorting that particular issue out! Fingers crossed that it also has a knock-on effect on my Hb1AC figures in forthcoming months.

Thank you for your advice everyone.
I'll see my GP & Diabetes Nurse asap & take it from there!
This is a really useful way for patients to have access to expert knowledge & I'm sure everyone appreciates it as much as I do. Thank you again.

As well as my Diabetes diagnosis a few months ago, it was noticed my I had borderline high levels of TSH. Previous tests had also shown this level & I had long suspected I had thyroid issues. My GP decided not to medicate but my Diabetes Nurse insisted that I should be so I'm now on a 50mg dose ...

A moment on the lips...

...an evening on the toilet! This is my ongoing life with Metformin. I was diagnosed Type 2 3 months ago &, what will being a big girl & all that, was put immediately on to Metformin closely followed by Victoza. Now both of these treatment cite 'weight loss' as a desirable side-effect HOWEVE...
