Methotrexate and pregnancy
Hello. I’ve been on Methotrexate for my eczema for a few years now. I’m now a 34 year old single female who always thought she’d have a family of her own by now. My dream was just to settle down and have a family. Life just hasn’t happened like that. I am very much undecided as to if I want babies n...

Re: Cyclosporine oral medication for eczema
I was on Cyclosporin for a year until I had to come off it as are the rules :( It worked for me once the dose had been tweaked. The first couple of days I had an awful headache and felt rather run down but that didn't last long at all. The worst part was when I had to come off it even though it was ...

Re: Cocamidopropyl Betaine
Thanks for the reply Rosy! I never thought of Lush, and I've been online to look at some of their shower products and most of them don't contain it so thank you! I'm going to go in when I'm in town and review them re how fragranced they are etc to see if any of them would be suitable as I also have ...

Cocamidopropyl Betaine
Hello I recently had a patch test and discovered an allergy to Codamidopropyl Betaine, which is a surfactant used in shampoos and shower gels. I've managed to find a shampoo without it in, but haven't found a shower gel yet and soaps tend to dry my skin out. I'm also trying to find out whether my us...

Re: Swollen, sore and weeping left hand
Thanks for your reply Marcie Mom. After reading your reply and taking advice from my Mum I got in touch with my consultants secretary to ask her to pass on a message about how much worse my hand had got in the week since he recommended the biopsies, in case it made him think there was anything else ...

Swollen, sore and weeping left hand
Hello I have been suffering with eczema on the back of my left hand for about 4 months now, I did have pomphylyx on my palms, particularly my left, and feet before this, which eventually cleared up with Dermovate. I went to a consultant in November for all my eczema, which I particularly suffered wi...

Comments and awareness
I know eczema is nothing to be ashamed of, but when people ask me about it it really gets to me!! I work in a vet practice, and a client pointed to my arm when i had lots of quite big spots rather than rash-y, "ooo, has a cat attacked you?!" Well, no, because that would result in scratches...

Sleep
Since my eczema flared up on the soles of my feet, i've gradually struggled sleeping more each night as i wake up with them itching. I've started putting a fan on aimed at my feet once it starts, but any tips on sleeping better? I feel exhausted every day!!
