Re: Atarax (hydroxyzine)
I am on Atarax and have found that it is the only thing that will let me sleep! I have found that it works for the itching and was told that I can up my dose if I have a bad stressful day. When I take it at night it doesn't make me tired when I first wake up but if I go back to sleep waking up a sec...

Re: Curing my eczema... Hopefully
I told my derm that I was using Aveeno products and she wanted me to stop using them because they also still have chemicals and some type of alcohol which is drying for the skin. She told me to use vaseline to moisturize my face. I use vaseline daily unless I have a bad day and need to use my face m...

Re: Washing Powders/Liquids
I have changed my laundry soap to a sensitive skin kind. I was also told by my doctor to stop using dryer sheets because even though they say "sensitive skin" they still have a ton of chemicals. It is annoying since my clothes stick but I have noticed that switching to sensitive skin kind ...

Re: Climate/Weather and Eczema
I have noticed that my skin is very sensitive to super dry buildings and areas. I have noticed that when I enter places that are super dry my skin instantly feels it and I need to apply lotions. I always either have a tub of lotion with me or a small thing of Vaseline to give my body some moisture.

Re: Help!! Severe Case of Eczema
The only lotion that I have found that helps me is Vanicream. When I first went to my dermatologist she told me to stop using body washes, scented detergents, dryer sheets, and any lotions that contained any type of alcohol. Vanicream is the only lotion I have found that doesn't have any type of alc...

Re: how do you stop scratching.?
In order for my eczema to not look absolutely terrible I regularly get my nails done. I have found that I need to do this and when I take the nails off and have to wait to get them on my eczema gets terrible where I develop open sores on my skin. My regular nails just tear my skin apart and having a...

Re: Neck & Facial Eczema - Anyone Help??
I was given Pro-Topic that cleans up my face eczema so well! unfortunately my new insurance grades Pro-Topic as a "C" so they want me to pay $300 to get this medicine. My face also use to weep and be nasty red where it looked like I was sunburned all the time. Pro-Topic worked so well with...

Re: my eczema is ruining my life
My eczema got super bad and all over my body about four years ago. My body was inflamed everywhere. It hurt to do anything and to even put clothes on. I would cringe taking showers and getting dressed. Finally, I was able to go to a dermatologist. She recommended creams and medical tanning. I did th...
