Hair transplants are a surgical procedure that involve taking hair, usually from the back of the head, and grafting to a bald area. It can look very different to male pattern baldness. It’s also an effective treatment for traction alopecia (permanent hair loss due to pulling the hair too tightly in ponytails or braids).
