Allergic rhinitis
I have suffered from allergic rhinitis for nearly 4 years. I'm fed up with it now... either running or blocked nose feeling rubbish most days. I take Fluconase nasal drops but not all the time as I'm worried about steroids and the thinning of my bones. The doctor has given me Montelukast and the side effects are awful! I just really want to be able to smell again...as I have complete anaemia.. help....

Re: Allergic rhinitis
Hello. If your GP is struggling to get your symptoms under control and with the symptom of anosmia, which may occur with nasal polyps, I would advise that you ask your GP to refer you to a rhinologist to look up your nose and to find you some pharmaceutical options that work for you.

If you allergic to house dust mites or moulds (perennial allergens) and your ENT surgeon can't find a structural problems in your nose you might benefit from desensitisation
