Re: UTI's
For prevention of recurrent or chronic UTI, there are number of treatments including: natural supplements like D-Mannose, various types of preventative antibiotic treatments, vaginal oestrogen (for post-menopausal women), methenamine hippurate (a urine sterilising agent), UTI vaccines and bladder washes / installations. A urologist can help advise the most effective regime.
However, if your primary problem is frequent or urgent urination then you may have an 'overactive bladder' for which there are other types of medication, bladder botox injections (like they use in cosmetics!) and stimulation of the bladder nerves.
A full assessment by a urologist will help delineate what's going on and guide your treatment.
