Bowel Irrigation system

Following surgery after a burst gangrenous appendix, 30 years on I have been provided with an irrescedo bowel irrigation system. Occasionally I pass ropeworm tissue. Is this a problem?

There is very little evidence into the cause and treatment of rope worm. Some patients find the consistency of faecal matter changes following Appendectomy and the natural balance of bacteria has altered. You might find trying to replace the "good" bacteria using a probiotic supplement helpful.
