Spots on shoulders

I’ve always suffered with spots on my face but now I get them on my shoulders. They look like small pustules and they leave a white scar - any advice on preventing/treating these?

Hi Beccy,
Thanks for your question. Have you tried washing the affected area with benzoyl peroxide (BPO) wash which is available over the counter? Further information is available here:

Please note that BPO can cause bleaching of fabrics and hair, however using it in the shower as a wash rather than as a leave-on treatment will minimise the risk of bleaching your towel.
Due to the difficulties in applying creams to the back and shoulders often tablets are required to treat acne in this location and so I suggest that you seek medical advice to discuss this - especially if you are experiencing scarring.
