Spots on shoulders
My 18 year old son suffers from spots on his shoulders but tends not to get them elsewhere. Do you have any suggestions as to how he can get rid of these?
Thank you, Karen

Re: Spots on shoulders
Hi Karen,
Thanks for your question. Has your son tried washing the affected area with benzoyl peroxide (BPO) wash which is available over the counter? Further information is available here:
https://www.nhs.uk/medicines/benzoyl-peroxide/
Please note that BPO can cause bleaching of fabrics and hair, however using it in the shower as a wash rather than as a leave-on treatment will minimise the risk of bleaching his towel.
Due to the difficulties in applying creams to the back and shoulders often tablets are required to treat acne in this location and so I suggest that he seeks medical advice to discuss this.
With best wishes,
Rachel
