CO2 Fractional Laser Trigger rash cum Acne
I'm 39 years old female with combination skin. Back in January 2020, I went through a procedure to reduce my pores which is very significant (It's a well-known Aesthetic clinic and a couple of my friends have had such a great result). My recovery was fast, I have clear skin by end of the 8th days. But somehow I started to develop very bumpy rash which is itchy. I went back to the clinic, I was given some tablets, creams and different sunscreen for 2 weeks application, nothing changed and I was told the laser could have triggered eczema.I was then been prescribed with steroid cream and an antibiotics. It doesn't reduced the rash, only the itchiness.
I went for second opinion in a different clinic and I was diagnosed with acne and has been described with a different antibiotic called sps roxy. Now, it's already a month, and nothing has changed and I get extremely frustrated.
I don't know what should I do now and I'm too scared to get any kind of skincare as I do not know if it's going to make things worse.
Kindly advise.

I am so sorry to hear about your problem. I am afraid it is impossible to say what is going on without seeing you in person. Laser is rarely known to trigger acne or eczema. They are treated differently. I suggest yu would see a dermatologist for a diagnosis and treatment.
I hope this is helpful.

Re: CO2 Fractional Laser Trigger rash cum Acne
hello,
thanks for the question. Fractional CO2 laser or non ablative laser treatments can trigger acne in acne prone skin. Equally the skin care regime post laser can trigger acne. Eczema would be itchy. As mentioned previously, an assessment is essential, although it is not uncommon for conditions like rosacea to present like this.
Best wishes
