Lichen Planus
I want to enquire about Lichen Planus, the cause of it and how to treat severe cases without long term use of Prednisone. My father recovered with Prednisone but the severe rash has returned now that the Prednisone has finished and it adversely affecting his quality of life. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

Re: Lichen Planus
Hi there,
Lichen planus is a real nuisance. The good news is that it can be treated quite successfully using light therapy (a type of standing sunbed that you come to the hospital for), tablets such as acitretin (which is safer in the longer run than prednisolone).
You may find this leaflet helpful. https://www.bad.org.uk/shared/get-file. ... e=document
Best wishes,
Sree
