Reasons for Unexplained Weight Loss

Especially dangerous is the unexplained weight loss in the elderly. For example, if your normal weight is 72 kg, then 5% of it is 3.6 kg. If your normal weight is 90 kg, then 5% of it is 4.5 kg. A person’s weight depends on many circumstances, the most important of which are calorie diet (volume, nature and composition of food consumed during the day), level of physical activity, general health, age, ability to assimilate and process nutrients, as well as some economic and social reasons. Unexplained weight loss can be caused by many reasons, both health-related and non-health related. Often, weight loss and a general deterioration in well-being can be caused by several reasons.

Reasons for Unexplained Weight Loss. The first reason that you need to exclude in a person who has significantly lost weight for no apparent reason is a malignant (cancerous) tumor, including colon cancer. In addition to weight loss, such patients often have other symptoms associated with the tumor, or deviations in laboratory tests. Other causes of weight loss may include: Ulcerative colitis Crown’s disease Peptic ulcer Celiac disease COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) Cholecystitis Addison's disease (adrenal insufficiency) Depression (major depressive disorder) Diabetes Heart failure HIV AIDS Hypocalcaemia Hyperthyroidism (hyperthyroidism) Hypothyroidism (hypothyroidism) Parkinson's disease Substance abuse (alcohol, cocaine, others) Tuberculosis. The key to lose weight 10kg is to make the decision to want to do it, that is, it is in your hands to get it, you just have to change some habits.

Re: Reasons for Unexplained Weight Loss

There is always an explanation to weight loss or eight gain. Nothing happens by magic. there is always something a person does or does not do, that makes them put on weight.
