What are Anxiety Attack

A person may face an anxiety disorder if they regularly feel much severe levels of it that impact their day-to-day life. A person’s feelings may last for a longer time or may be out of proportion to their situation. Certain situations or roles, such as driving or public speaking could make a person feel very anxious. In addition to that, a person also may feel anxious about their mental health, certain body conditions, or even their relationships.

I could've written this. Anxiety is all too common, though: so many people live in misery because of anxiety. Oftentimes the solution is avoidance: which I can't blame the person.

There is no known cure for anxiety: it is a lifetime problem. Sure, the person can face their fears but they will always be scared. Unless a life-changing event happens, I suppose. But anxiety can be normal and the person must realize they're not alone with their fears.

Re: What are Anxiety Attack

I had a panic attack whilst driving nearly a year ago and I need to know if anything helped anyone overcome this. I have been driving but I am not comfortable and I have my left foot behind the clutch pedal not at the side as it should be and I slow down when I am going past side roads as someone pulled out on me thirty years ago and damaged my car but I did not have any injuries. The car was repaired and I was nervous for a while but not anywhere as nervous as I am but I overcome this. I have been told that I have had an out of body experience. I need to know how to overcome this fear of driving as it is ruining my life. :x

Re: What are Anxiety Attack

You've made some excellent points about anxiety disorders. As someone who has researched this topic extensively (including content we've published on , I'd like to emphasize that the key differentiator between normal anxiety and an anxiety disorder is indeed the severity and duration of symptoms, plus their impact on daily functioning.
It's particularly important to note that while specific triggers like public speaking or driving can cause anxiety, persistent worry about these activities to the point of avoidance may indicate a disorder requiring professional attention.
If anyone is experiencing these symptoms, I strongly encourage seeking help from a mental health professional who can provide proper assessment and treatment options. Early intervention often leads to better outcomes.
