Tightness of foreskin

For almost a year now I've been experiencing a dryness and tightness of my foreskin that has sometimes caused little cracks and soreness when pulling it back over the head. It makes sex very uncomfortable and lubrication only seems to agitate it. I've visited my GP who said it was thrush so my partner and I both medicated for it, both cream and tablet but the problem still remains. My partner hasn't had any symptoms of thrush from the start and I'm wondering if anyone has had the same problem and found a solution?

I've tried a few other things as well as the thrush medication; general anti-fungal cream, and someone on another forum suggested Athletes foot cream worked for them so tried that as well.

If a medical professional is reading this I would be more than happy to supply a picture of the issue for a more accurate diagnosis!

Hi,I had the very same problem but my doctor told me I had Phimosis. After a few weeks on creams and stretching exercises I was referred to a specialist and he recommended I be circumcised..I was fortunate my company provided private health care so I was able to have the operation within two weeks. Although very worried as I was over 50 at that time, I recovered quickly and can honestly say I am very pleased I had it done. Oh and the wife likes it too. (smile) I am now just coming up to 71 years of age and can still enjoy occasional sex. I would say you could ask for a second opinion. Good luck.

Hello, I know this thread is a bit old but have only just joined the forum and spotted this topic. This has recently affected me over the last few months and have just had a diagnosis of BXO and have posted a new thread about it. Did you get a fornal diagnosis, how have you got on with any treatment?
