I'd follow the talk health team's advice.

You should always base how much sugar you are allowed to consume with your doctor, as it isn't random advice: your blood sugar levels are personal to YOU. It would be wrong to estimate: your life could be put at risk by doing so. I know that sounds dramatic, but you must be very, very sure you've got the right advice.

Talk to your doctor first.
