Hi

With chicken pox you must stop all steroids and immune supressant medication. But do moisturise, our dermatologist said to use 50:50 emmollient along with antihistamines. This is when the piriton can really help. It was hell for my 2, although my 4 year old daughter had tonsilitus at the same time!!!!! Be prepared. We found patting brought relief rather than the damage of scratching, something I teach the kids for the eczema also.

Re: eczema allergys and 11months old

hi
I finally managed to get a Dera Silk sleep suit from my GP only one mind you but it's a start. We did yet again go through all the creams and steriods she reacts badly to before he gave me the suit. I was very forcefully told him I will make an appointment to see him every 2 to 3 weeks. He looked a little shocked.

My friends little girls has eczema too and she gave me a easy comfi wrap suit and I must say I find it better than the derasilk suit,
My daughter has a better then normal sleep when I put it on.

I know it's hard and my goodness I have cried many times over this. Not to mention my stress levels talking to so called experts but keep pushing the doctors tell them you are not going away. You know your daughter better than any one else keep a log of all the creams and steriods you use that she reacts badly to also any bath additives used.

I have found taking photos on my phone really helps so when she is bad I have a record. I do this as everytime she flares up I can't see the same GP and then I have to explain from the begining.

At the moment I am just writing down things as I notice difference's like when she played in the garden the other day she hived up so I just written the date /playing in the garden / hot day / Sun cream applied.

Keep Strong
Fiona

We did the same 50:50 and Pirton we also found giving her some Calpol before bed helped as she also had a bit of a temperature.
