Laurel oil too as it works as a natural antiseptic and you forgot loads and loads of H2O

Re: Tips On How To Treat Eczema
I had this with my son, I took a dematologist I said I have to bathe every day to get rid of dry skin that accumulates in the skin and oil in the bath. She said most likely the baby's eczema and should disappear with which reaches about 6 years. She gave me a cream called Fucidin which helped a lot. 7yrs now free and exzema.

Re: Tips On How To Treat Eczema
Hi
I have been reading you post
Yes I do agree finding the cause will help to treat your eczema but this isn't always easy to do.
Some of my daughter’s eczema comes from food allergies.
So a diet in just fruits fruits, vegatables, fish oil, salmon might not help but maybe are the triggers.
Like I found with my daughter and many people who I know who have children with eczema sometimes the healthy food are the problems or contribute to the reactions.
Many of the products like Virgin Coconut, colloidal oatmeal, coconut butter lotion, Vaseline, Aquaphor can also trigger a reaction.
Many I know have dairy and Egg allergies so substitute with Soya but my daughter is fine on dairy but reacts really bad to Soya Products.
Like I have learned every child /adult is different. What is good for one isn’t always best for another even if it is natural.
Sorry that’s my view anyway

I totally agree with Fiona, both of my children with eczema do not respond to the same creams/treatments and have different food allergies, so siblings don't even react the same. That is part of the complex nature of eczema and why one cream does not suit all.

Hello everyone, i'm new on the forum, just been reading about treatments, and non of them mentioned yet an important (probably the BEST) alternative, organic treatment.
Re: Tips On How To Treat Eczema
Im new here so I am learning a lot. I will say that I just started using the coconut oil and my skin does feel a little better. It has only been a few days. I bought a coconut butter cream and oh did that not help at all. My skin on my hands went beserk....spitting in may funny ways. I am so done with creams. None of them seem to help. They seem to make them worse for me.

Re: Tips On How To Treat Eczema
My Top Tip: The most important single factor explaining poor results treating atopic eczema is under treatment, and especially under treatment with moisturisers. Treatment with moisturisers is fundamental and should prevent the skin from drying, rather than treat dry skin. Which moisturiser is used should be decided by trial and error: use the one that works! Apply the moisturiser thinly, gently, quickly and often - have some available all the time. Do not just keep it in the bathroom.
I hope that helps! If you know all that, I am pleased - but so many who have come to our clinic have told me that these instructions were new to them!

Hi Becky P
When you try products always check the ingredients. Some people react to the added ingrediants so you might not of had a reaction to the coco nut itself.
Some people react to Sodium Laureth, Parabens, Lauryl Sulphates, Phthalates , Methylisothaizoline, Propylene Glycol, Tricolsan , Phathalates , Alcohol , the list is endless.
Ckbridgett - I would agree keep applying all day. Make it part of your routine every 1 hour or so

Re: Tips On How To Treat Eczema
Good Night,
I used to suffer with eczema when I was a child, it could be really irritating . My mother tried so many different things to try and get rid of it. Any how, cut a long story short, Mum started using Aloe vera on my skin.
I used the pure aloe vera plant to wash with and also to cream my whole body with. I used to hate the feeling of this on my skin, but it helped. I was lucky though because my grandad had this growing in his bathroom.
It's now 10+ years later and I have not suffered with eczema as bad as I used to, considering I have stopped using the plant. I now have my little one and he has very sensitive skin as well. I have found and started using some natural aloe products, that have helped with his skin a lot; and also with mine.
I do recommend trying aloe vera, also eating it (tastes nasty) as it is good for the immune...
