High Blood Pressure

Hi,

i am under a medical team, my Blood pressure on average of 170/102, no heart disease, xray today shows slightly enlarged heart, probably due to high blood pressure, beta blocklers are not making a difference, seeing another doctor tomorrow. I dont drink, smoke, take drugs, not pregnant, and i eat well. Chest pains came out of no where a while ago and high blood pressure has continued since then, confirmed no heart disease etc on previous scans....any thoughts anyone? i am 66.

Thanks for sharing. Given your high BP (170/102), enlarged heart, and chest pain, it’s good you’re seeing another doctor. Since beta blockers aren’t working, exploring other meds like ACE inhibitors or ARBs may help. Stay proactive!
