Research study about use of online support groups/forums/social media for health information and advice

Dr Bethan Treadgold is a research Psychologist working within the Primary Care Research Group at the University of Exeter Medical School. She is currently leading a programme of research funded by the National Institute for Health Research School for Primary Care Research, called ‘Accessibility, acceptability, and accuracy of online support groups for primary care conditions’. The aim of this research project is to explore possibilities around primary healthcare professionals getting more involved in online support groups, such as with quality approving information and advice.

As part of this research project, Bethan would like to invite primary healthcare professionals, and members of the public with experience in using online support groups, to take part in one-off informal interview.
