Sun Cream: SPF or Star Rating?
When choosing a sun cream - is it the SPF factor that you look at the most, or the uva star rating?
Re: Sun Cream: SPF or Star Rating?
I buy always 50+ factors.

After doing a bit of research,it is the SPFactor to go by.The minimum factor to use is 30.If you have a pale skin,or have ginger/reddish hair, use higher factor. If you are going to sit or lie in the sun, even in the UK,use a 50 factor.Men who are getting a bit thin on top,use a 50 factor.Children should be covered with a 50 factor, wear a hat and kept out of the sun around Midday! You can-not be to careful,i know I had skin cancer.Enjoy the Sun but be wise.

I always buy factor 30 or 40 for my face but also check it has a good uva rating. For my body I start off with factor 25 or 30 but once I have a reasonable tan I drop to factor 15 or 20.
If I am holidaying near the equator I wear factor 30+ all the time.

I use an organic type as I have sensitive skin but can't find one stronger than 30 SPF.
