yeast infection vs dermatitus

I'm a 70 y/o male and recently broke out with a rash on lower abdomen and inner thighs. My PC prescribed anti fungal/steriod ointment but without much healing and it flares up repeatedly. I'm now applying anti bacterial and anti fungus ointments but the rash is spreading and is bright red, sore and very painful. Has anyone experienced this and how did you treat it?

You do not need a cream but tablets instead. Talk to your doctor about giving you tablets.
