Egg allergy or could be false positive, how do you know?

Hi,

I have recently received an allergy test result showing that I have an IgE level '2' for egg whites.

I have been informed that there is a false positive rate of around 50% in IgE testing, so how can I take further action to rule out the false positive?

Is it worth running a re-test to see if there is a negative on the second run, or will a false positive always be a false positive?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
