Re: Wheat
The evidence about the exact link between diet including wheat and psoriasis is inconclusive
Some data suggest that a gluten-free diet may significantly improve psoriasis in some patients.
Indeed, a beneficial effect of gluten-free diet on psoriasis has been found in patients with elevated antigliadin antibodies which is found in coeliac disease patients (Bhatia BK, Millsop JW, Debbaneh M et al. Diet and psoriasis, part II: celiac disease and role of a
gluten-free diet. Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology 2014; 71: 350-8.)
However wheat free or gluten free diets are not routinely recommended for all patients with psoriasis as there isn't enough evidence know whether it will benefit everyone nor whether there are any harmful effects from it
