Psoriatic arthritis
How do you know if you've got psoriatic arthritis? I have psoriasis and arthritis so what's the difference to that?

There is useful information at http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/psoriatic- ... ction.aspx If you are still unsure then visit your GP for a confirmed diagnosis.

Re: Psoriatic arthritis
Psoriatic arthritis is a form of arthritis that affects people who have psoriasis. Joints become inflamed, which causes pain, swelling and stiffness.Tendons may also become inflamed and cause pain (often around the heel or in the elbowIn most people (80%) the arthritis develops after the appearance of psoriasis. There are other types of arthritis, which people with psoriasis can have. I would suggest you ask your GP for your exact arthritis diagnosis. Have you been referred to a rheumatologist? The NICE Psoriasis guidelines recommends that anyone with psoriasis who develops arthritis should be referred to rheumatology for assessment, monitoring and arthritis management. You may also find the support group Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis Alliance (PAPAA) and good source of information and support at http://www.papaa.org I hope this is helpful and all the best.
