Lorraine Grover
Lorraine Grover is a Psychosexual Nurse Specialist. Her expertise is in managing male sexual dysfunction and she has a special interest in caring for patients diagnosed with prostate cancer (and whenever possible their partners). Sexual difficulties can have both psychological and organic causes and she is able to consider both aspects of management.
Lorraine has a diploma in psychosexual therapy and for several years worked in the NHS providing totally nurse-led erectile dysfunction clinics at St George’s Hospital, London and Wycombe Hospital, Buckinghamshire. Lorraine now provides a private consultation service to help men and women overcome difficulties with sexual function.
She achieved a Developing Practice Award from The Queen’s Nursing Institute to develop an information package for patients and partners regarding erectile dysfunction. She is treasurer and a trustee of the Sexual Advice Association (Formerly known as the Sexual Dysfunction Association) and Specialist Advisor to Macmillan Cancer Support, Prostate Cancer UK and Cancer Research UK. She lectures nationally to patient groups and healthcare professionals. Lorraine also features on the Macmillan online community ‘Ask an Expert’ section answering questions relating to male sexual function and cancer.
