Very helpful programe. I do suggest that videos such as those on itchy sneezy, wheezy may also help. Also I was not able to access the individual module information on my online account, it only allowed me to download the first module of that week (I could access 4 but not 5 or 6). I would also be interested in evidence based of onset and prognosis of eczema or more facts regarding the condition. I found some of the stories intense and negative. However all in all, it helped me thoroughly while providing me with information I would not have otherwise been able to access. I still store and recap the pdf.
Brilliant program with lots of tips and advice. Helps you feel like you're doing all you can to manage eczema. Great to get tips off others as well.
The program was extremely helpful and supportive. I found many answers to questions I had and lots of useful tips to try. I feel more confident dealing with my child’s skin condition now.
Excellent programme - my daughter has suffered with eczema for a long time and has tried numerous different methods to control and soothe her skin. The myeczemachild support programme advised her on different techniques and also made her feel that having this condition is not something to be ashamed of or to feel that she has to hide away.
Brilliant programme. Helped me loads with my child thank you.
Very interesting, informative, helpful and useful. I've learned a lot of things and taken notes on several key points. I'm pleased I've been a part of this and would recommend others to be a part of it.
It was extremely helpful, with tips and advice on how to notice trigger areas and how to control flare ups without necessarily seeing the GP every week.
I thought it had a lot of useful information and is worth a look for anyone. Would definitely recommend the site.
My son and myself enjoyed the programme and the stories other people had to tell. It made my son not feel alone with his condition as it was making him feel embarrassed and irritated if he felt itchy and wanted to scratch in front of the other children. He was able to find ways to cope and control his eczema better and use skincare products in the proper way to reduce flare ups and infection occuring. I have found the programme has taken some stress and worry away as I felt that when my son was feeling down I was unable to help him before. We both have benefitted from being involved.
This is the second time we have done the eczemachild programme and each time learnt something new. I think every eczema patient should have access to this via all GPs.
I found the programme both informative and useful. It allowed me to consider many different things from possible triggers, the use of emollients and the impact of my child’s eczema on them and has made me feel comfortably informed that I can support my child. It also means less unnecessary trips to the GP.
It’s very helpful at a much needed time.
Great support programme to let you know more about this skin condition that is skin deep - could be allergy or external factors such as dust or the weather; items way beyond your control but you can try to protect from. You hear from real life people with real life stories so you know you’re not alone. Many people are affected by this and there are organisations set up to share information, hints and tips about eczema management.
I guess we fall on the lower end of needing the support but that made us more unsure of where to go because we weren't a severe case - the programme provided what we needed and this was great.
I found this to be extremely useful and made me feel like I'm not alone and eczema has an impact on everyone who has it. The information given really made me feel powerful feeling like I could help relieve it.
