Thursday 29 May 2014 – A glittering premiere was held at the British Film Institute in London’s Southbank last week, for the film ‘Finding Mike’.
The 45 minute documentary, follows the story of 27 year-old mental health campaigner Jonny Benjamin as he searches for the stranger who talked him out of taking his own life on Waterloo bridge six years ago.
Jonny worked with the charity Rethink Mental Illness to launch the search in January this year. The campaign soon went viral, with the hashtag #Findmike trending across the globe.
After two weeks, 31 year-old personal trainer Neil Laybourn from Surrey came forward and identified himself as the real ‘Mike’ and the pair were reunited.
